This video was filmed by one of the students during a 1967 summer job of the University of Economics students in the Soviet Union with Jan Palach. This is the only video recording of Jan Palach before his self-immolation.

StB members recorded the self-immolation of Ryszard Siwiec at the Dziesięciolecia Stadium in Warsaw. The recording was not known until 2003 when it was discovered in the Polish Institute of National Remembrance.
